Labels: organise without choosing one place.

A folder can only hold a note in one spot. A label can sit alongside as many others as you need. If you have used labels in email, you already know how this works.

Browse like folders

Click a label and you see every note carrying it. It feels like opening a folder, so it is easy to pick up.

Because notes aren't locked into one place, you never have to decide where something "really" belongs.

One note, many places

A receipt from a work trip can carry Travel, Tax and Work. Open any of those labels and it's there. It's one note, not copies, so editing it updates it everywhere.

Label as you write

  1. Write your note.
  2. Add one or more labels as you go. Make new ones on the spot.
  3. Find it later by label, by search, or both together.

Label limits

  • Free: up to 20 labels.
  • Casual Writer and Enthusiastic Writer: no limit.

Most people find 20 plenty to start with.

Common questions

Do labels cost extra?

No. Labels are part of every plan, and the free plan includes up to 20.

Can I search within a label?

Yes. Pick a label, then search, and results are limited to that label.

What happens if I delete a label?

The label is removed from your notes. The notes themselves stay.
