Reference links that can't disappear.

Add a link to a note and Hipfire keeps a screenshot of the page as it was, plus its text. Search then finds your note by what's on the page, even if you never typed those words yourself.

What gets saved

  • A screenshot of the page at the moment you added the link.
  • The page text, which becomes searchable alongside your own writing.

Why it helps

You remember the idea, not the exact words you wrote. If you read a guide about hand lettering, you might search "flexible nib" months later. Because the page text is searchable, you still find the note.

Results show when a match came from a saved page, so you know why a note appeared.

When a site changes

Pages get edited, moved behind logins or removed. Your screenshot shows how it looked when you saved it, so you keep the evidence and the context.

How to use it

  1. Open a note and add a reference link.
  2. Hipfire captures the page in the background.
  3. Search any word from the page to find the note.

Included in paid plans

Screenshots and text capture come with Casual Writer and Enthusiastic Writer. You can still add plain links on the free plan.

Common questions

Is the page text private?

Notes you encrypt stay encrypted. See the encryption page for how that works.

Does it save every page of a site?

No. It saves the single page you link to.

Can I add several links to one note?

Yes.
